The first use of words was not to communicate but to create (Genesis 1 vs 3), this year I've heard so many sermons on the power of words, guess I better put it into action.
I love listening to Coffee with Chris (Ps Christine Caine) podcasts, one of the things she often mentions is what she has been declaring over her kids, and now what they declare over themselves:
"I am the head and not the tail,
above and not beneath,
a woman of prayer, a woman of faith,
and a Holy Ghost terrorist!"
(disclaimer: done from memory so may be inaccurate but you get the picture)
I'm planning to come up with my own declaration to speak over my life - if you've got any ideas let me know.
I'm also trying to be careful about what I speak over other peoples lives, even when it might be a quick way to get a laugh I want to make sure I'm speaking life and not death. Definitely going to need the Holy Spirit to help me on this one but it'll be worth it.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18 vs 21
I want to eat the fruit of words of life!
Be blessed this week
I'm blessed to live a life where I know my creator and know that He has a plan for me. I don't always know what it is but I know that He has sent me into the world to be His light, wherever I am. Life is a journey with so much for me to learn, here's some of my thoughts along the way.

Small beginnings
So this is it, my first post in my new blog. Who knew there would be so much pressure in knowing what to write? I'm a bit of a procrastinator so I had planned this a while back and never got round to it but my plan is to post something once a week. It's mainly about me having to verbalise (or write in this case) that which God is teaching me through the scripture and everyday life. This is just my interpretation but I pray that "May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my rock and my redeemer" (Psalms 19:14). Looking forward to the journey and the record to look back on to see how far I've come.
